ADDITIONAL POLICIES AND FAQS
Some of my handmade items can be delicate- glass beads will last a long time if cared for, but can become chipped or broken if knocked or dropped onto a hard surface, so handling with care and keeping clean by wiping with a soft cloth will help prolong their beauty.
Silver & gold plated items can become tarnished from products we wear such as perfumes and creams, so to help prevent tarnishing please try to keep the area you are wearing your jewellery, free from harmful products.
Careful storing of jewellery will help prevent damage and tarnishing of metal components . Moisture in the air is what will cause discolouration so storage in a jewellery box or jewellery roll is recommended.
Necklaces that have been strung on beading wire should not be folded sharply as it may cause a permanent bend and will cause it to eventually snap.
Very occasionally silver & gold plated jewellery can tarnish quicker due to high acid levels within the skin of the wearer ( I personally have this issue ) unfortunately there is nothing that can be done about this. I avoid wearing silver or gold plate for this reason but have found that I can wear the antique bronze, antique silver, antique gold and antique copper finishes without any problem.
