Victorian Soaring Swallow Earrings, Pierced or Clip On

These pretty dangle earrings were handmade by me influenced by the jewellery styles of the Victorian era and feature opalescent blue Austrian crystals and sweet flying bird dangles. Pierced earrings come with hook style ear wires, or hinged screw back clip on closures are available for non-pierced ears, simply select style required from the drop down menu when placing your order.
Swallows were a popular subject matter in Victorian jewellery, they had a special meaning for fishermen and sailors. Brooches were often given to loved ones when they set out on a journey in a bid to keep them well as a symbol of love and protection to ensure their safe return.

Please see all photographs for different views - they are extreme close ups, so will show any surface marks very clearly that are not immediately visible to the naked eye .
Measuring approx. 5 cm ( 1.97 ins ) total length for the pierced earrings, slightly shorter for the clip ons as they sit a little higher up on the fitting.
Pierced earrings come with stoppers for security.
