1980s Vintage Celtic Birds Enamelled Brooch

Vintage medium-large sized brooch circa 1980s .
Stunning piece, beautifully made in an unusual and irregular inverted crescent shape, featuring a historical Book of Kells inspired peacocks design in a cloisonne style inlaid with shimmering reds, green and black enamels in a silver plated setting, fastens with pin and roll over style clasp.
The brooch is unsigned, but was most likely made in the UK for a range of Celtic style enamel jewellery stocked by the retailer Past Times .
Very good condition with no damage, just a couple of small spots of patina on the reverse commensurate with age.
Brooch measures 6.25 cm. ( 2.46 ins.) x 2.75cm. ( 1.08 ins.) x 0.75 cm. ( 0.30 ins.)
