Antique Art Deco Carved Resin Brooch, Grapes & Vine Leaf High Relief Design

French vintage oval brooch depicting a bunch of grapes and vine leaf is circa 1920s + when early plastics were becoming very popular to create beautiful statement jewellery pieces.
The brooch is in good condition in an ivory/cream color with a brown wash, made from casein or galalith, this type of man made substance could be made to simulate carved bone or horn.
**Please note there is a tiny 2mm chip on the reverse of the brooch and the original clasp which would have been soldered to the piece, has been replaced with a newer roll locking safety clasp which is in good working order and secure.**

Brooch measures 4.75 cm. (1.87 ins.) x 4.25 cm. (1.67 ins.) x 2 cm. ( 0.79 ins.)
